Podere Vecciano also excels in the production of certified organic extra virgin olive oil, made from several local olive cultivars, including Frantoio, Leccino, and Pendolino, handpicked and quickly sent to a local mill for pressing.

It is the result of just 600 olive trees spread across two hectares, partly old and partly newly planted. After purchasing the estate, Catia and Davide turned their attention to the poor state of the vineyards, and through great sacrifice and dedication, they were finally able to restore them to their current splendid condition.

Then came the time to focus on the olive grove, which was also in a state of neglect: after tending to the old trees still capable of producing, the dead ones were uprooted and replaced with the planting of new trees (Ghiacciola and Rossina varieties, carefully selected by Davide after thorough research). The resulting oil has very low acidity and oxidation levels. In the olive grove, all cultivation practices—from pruning to harvesting—are carried out with great care and expertise. Pest control is handled according to the principles of organic and biodynamic methods.
